As we grow older and the people who raised us and cared for us begin to die, it can feel as if our connection to childhood starts to slip away. I created Like a Light and Amy at Play to explore these feelings after the death of my beloved grandfather.

This video is a combination of two videos, Like a Light and Amy at Play.  They were designed to play on different television sets at the same time as an art installation.  It was first featured at GLOW, a multimedia nighttime arts festival, at Triangle L Ranch (Oracle, AZ).

Fractal Fantasy Sound Design

Year of production: 2002

Running Time: 2:22 min

Color / Sound

The sound created for this computer animation was inspired by one of my favorite poems, Edgar Allan Poe's Annabel Lee.   I was taking a sound design class at UW-Madison.  This video was given to our class to work with and I felt the pixilated quality and colors gave it an underwater feel.
